Very important to tell your parents that parking will be an issue because of another function going on at the school at the same time. There will only be 2 doors that will get you into the tournament.

Main door is around the back of the high school. Parking will be available there. Parents will have to park on the side of the building also, but can not go through the side doors they lead to the other function. They will need to walk to the back doors by the Mac center.( new gym ) The school will have gates up and if they go through those side doors they will not be able to get to the wrestling areas. Do not have them park out front and go through the front doors either.

They will have the same issue as the side doors. There will be parking at the middle school which the other function most likely won’t be using. I will have a door open on that side of the building that is by the Middle School. Follow the side walk from the middle school parking lot to the high school and that door will be open for us.

Also everyone pays at the door. The only people that are not charged are the refs and the wrestlers. All coaches pay entree.

We just wanted to thank all the parents involved with making the Jam so successful.  All the donations and the help from the parents was great.  It was a long day but ran smooth and was a great help to our fundraising efforts for the team.

That being said some families went above and beyond and deserve to be recognized for their efforts.  I’m sure I will miss somebody but I will give it a try anyway….

In the gym itself we need to recognize the coaches first, all of these guys put in at least 12 hours over the course of the weekend from setting up and breaking down to actually coaching all day on Sunday.  So Coach Anthony, Coach Blaise, Coach Rob, Coach Steve and Coach Wick, thanks for Sunday and for your efforts all season long.

At the front door collecting entrance fee’s and running the 50/50 we had the Rehkopf and Nardelli family’s.  It was the best year we’ve ever had at the door!  Thanks again.

Scoring table, set up and breakdown help was great as usual.  The McGovern’s, Buck’s, Wasson’s, Nawn’s, Delendik’s, Singer’s, Scheet’s, McIntyre’s, Fox’s, Wright’s, McQuade’s, Davenport’s, Cooper’s, Ubaldini’s, Zentar’s, Smith’s and Pry’s all contributed.  I know I’m missing some people here so “Thanks” to all who helped out here once again!

Cafeteria also had it’s most successful year ever! Among family’s who need recognition are the Yaffa’s, Buck’s,Wasson’s, Snively’s, Beaver’s, Spellman’s, McGovern’s,Pelosi’s, Henderson’s, Long’s, Nardelli’s, Thompson’s, Iuliano’s and Scioli’s. Once again thanks to all who helped I’m sure some names were missed.

A special note of thanks needs to got to Sophia Thompson!  She worked all day non-stop and has done so all year at all of our home matches.  THANK YOU SO MUCH SOPHIA!

Three people who deserve extra thanks for making Sunday and the entire season successful are Linda Yaffa, Maggie Delendik and Alycia Bischof.  Without these three dedicated parents there would be no Lenape Junior Team as we know it today.

Congratulations on a great season overall and we look forward to seeing all the wrestlers at the end of season Grapevine Tournament 3/2/08 in Moorestown!

We will have practice tomorrow night, Tuesday, it will be our normal 6:30 start time.

Also need to start collecting responses on who plans on wrestling in the Grapevine Tournamnent at Moorestown on Sunday, 3/2/08.  This will be the last event of the season.  All kids get 2 matches and all get medals for their participation.  All costs are covered by our team.

I don’t have start times yet but will of course share info as I get it.

 Thanks

Chris

We will be setting up the Gym at 4PM on Saturday.   We need all the help we can get for this.  Setting up 4 mats and all the tables, takes some time and people to get done correctly.  It needs to be ready to go for Sunday morning at 8AM sharp.

We are still looking for help from parents in the cafeteria and at the admission table.  If you have already offered help “thank you”.   Maggie will have  schedule sheet on Thursday to get times in place to organize the help.

Wrestlers should show up at 15 minutes before the round they are going to wrestle in.  Start times are as follows:

Tots (5 & 6 yr olds)  8 AM start

Bantams (7 & 8 yr olds)  11 AM start

Midgets (9 & 10 yr olds) & Juniors (11 & 12 yr olds)  2 PM start

As an early FYI- next weeks normal Monday practice will be held on Tuesday due to LHS being closed for the Presidential Holiday.

As you all know we have our LJW Jam tournament this weekend our yearly fundraiser.

So first I need to know if your son will be wrestling this weekend.  It is vital that I have an accurate list of who will be there.  I need a response from all parents to this email if your child will be involved this weekend!

Second we will need help running the tournament.  We have the HS team helping out at the tables for scoring.

I need set-up and clean-up help for the gym.  Set up will be Saturday Night.  It is important that we are ready to roll on Sunday morning.  I will have a time for that by Thursday this week.

We need help at the admission table which will be supervised by Dana Repkopf. I need adult volunteer’s to ensure people are not getting in with out paying.

The most help will be needed by Linda Yaffa in the cafeteria.  Linda sent out a list of donations we are looking for.  I will post that on here also so you can respond to me and I will make sure Linda gets the info.  More importantly we need volunteers to spend 2 shift hours helping out here.  This is a huge part of our fundraising effort and hopefully we can recoup a big portion of the ref’s fees we will pay out (about $2000) this weekend.

Please step up and tell me where you plan on helping out this weekend so we can make this another successful year for the Lenape Jam.

 Thanks

Chris
