Parents Meeting and First Practice Info Please Plan on Attending Both
Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving weekend.
Our Parents Meeting will be Monday night December 1st in the Lenape HS wrestling room@ 7PM. We also have practice all season long in this gym. Entrance is the northern most door facing Hartford Road. It is important that all parents are at this meeting. We will be going over expectations from the wrestlers and the parents for the season. We will discuss the match and practice schedules along with introductions to all the coaches. Wrestling hygiene will also be addressed, this is an important topic that all parents should be in tune with to ensure the safe participation of the entire team.
The first practice will be Tuesday, December 2nd @ 6:15 it will last until 8:00. At this point we plan on having practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the above times. Practice schedule may change based on the amount of wrestlers we end up with and how crowded the room is. We have access for Mondays also so we will evaluate how the team looks and decide what the best schedule is to prepare the wrestlers for the season.
All wrestlers will need to have wrestling shoes that are worn only in the wrestling room for practice. A wrestling head gear is also required, please make sure that you purchase child’s size so they fit your wrestler correctly. Shorts and T-shirt are all the kids need for practice otherwise. Any question about equipment can be answered on Monday Night.
