Hello all,
The Lenape Jr. Wrestling banquet will be held on Sunday, March 21st.

The dinner reception will be from 1:30PM to 4PM at the Knights of Columbus in Riverside (same place every year). All wrestlers cost will be covered by the team. Adults will be $16.00 each and children will be $9.00. Money will be collected at the dinner along with Singlets.

Dinner will be buffet including pasta & meatballs, chicken, salads, soda and cake. Trophies and Lenape Jr logo items will be given to all wrestlers.

I need to get a head count so please respond to Alycia Bischof and myself if you plan on attending or not and how many by Wednesday 17th.

Dress is casual and I encourage all to attend as this has been both successful and fun in the past. Also, it is great way to finalize the season. Don’t forget to bring your singlet.

From Lenape HS take Hartford Road towards Delran/Rt130. Take a right onto Bridgeboro Road (Ott’s tavern will be on your right) stay on Bridgeboro under Rt130, Riverside Knights of Columbus will be immediately on your right hand side.

This just in-Midgets, Juniors and Tots MUST NOW report for roll call at 11:00. NOT 11:30. I must have the roster in by 11:15 otherwise they will “scratch”.

They have modestly changed the times for the tournament.  Your child is in the same division he has been in all year. Wrestlers will be in four man groups and medals will be handed out.

1. Intermediates & Bantams ( 13, 14, 7, 8 year olds)  must report @8:00 for a 8:30-11:30 session.

2. Midgets, Juniors, Tots (4,5,6, 9,10,11,12 yr olds) must report @ 11:30 for a 12:00-5:30 session.

3. Please report to a coach as soon as you get there.  If you are going to be late, you must let me know ASAP.  Cell (215) 738-4548.

4.  We are obligated to score mat #6 for the day.  Lenape must provide three volunteers per session.  If you son is wrestling on Mat 6 for the day.  I will most likely ask you.

Follow 95 South to Exit 7B-Rte 206 North-Lawrenceville

Follow Rte. 206 for 5.5 miles and make left on Elm Rd./CR 604

Elm Rd. becomes the Great Rd.

Follow Elm/Great Rd. for 5.5 miles and Montgomery HS is on your left.

Sorry, but there will be no practice tonight.  LHS is closed, thus we cannot use the room.  I will send the Grapevine Tournament’s particulars later this morning.  -Anthony

The Grapevine League tournament caps the season and it is held at Montgomery High School this Sunday.  Intermediates (13+14) and Bantams (7+8) must report by 8:00 am.  The session will run to 12:30.    Juniors (11+12), Midgets (9+10), and Tots (4-6) must report by 12:30 and that session will run to 6:00.  I have everyone registered.  If you cannot attend, please let me know ASAP.

Lenape is required to man a score table (3-person).  I will be looking for volunteers to switch in and out as the day progresses.  -Anthony

Lenape Junior Wrestling would like to thank all the volunteers for their tireless help in making yesterday’s tournament an overwhelming success.  The feedback form the other teams coaches  and participants that I have talked to has been very encouraging.  Many coaches who had only a few participants said they plan on bringing their whole team next year because it is unique in the way that it provides for solid match-ups, as opposed to, traditional tournaments.   In all my years with the program, that was the best run tournament  we have had yet.  -Anthony

Sorry, but we have met the  400 wrestler maximum and can no longer accept  any more registrations.

Parents,  the coaches need to know ASAP if your child will participate in the Jam.  Please notify me or the coaches soon.  I will also be taking sign ups at the Willingboro match.   Do not worry about filling them out perfectly as I know our wrestlers, but I do need to get a head count.  Again, your concession donations cover the admission fee so our boys wrestle free.  Email me your intent at akiuliano@comcast.net.
