As you all know we have our LJW Jam tournament this weekend our yearly fundraiser.

So first I need to know if your son will be wrestling this weekend.  It is vital that I have an accurate list of who will be there.  I need a response from all parents to this email if your child will be involved this weekend!

Second we will need help running the tournament.  We have the HS team helping out at the tables for scoring.

I need set-up and clean-up help for the gym.  Set up will be Saturday Night.  It is important that we are ready to roll on Sunday morning.  I will have a time for that by Thursday this week.

We need help at the admission table which will be supervised by Dana Repkopf. I need adult volunteer’s to ensure people are not getting in with out paying.

The most help will be needed by Linda Yaffa in the cafeteria.  Linda sent out a list of donations we are looking for.  I will post that on here also so you can respond to me and I will make sure Linda gets the info.  More importantly we need volunteers to spend 2 shift hours helping out here.  This is a huge part of our fundraising effort and hopefully we can recoup a big portion of the ref’s fees we will pay out (about $2000) this weekend.

Please step up and tell me where you plan on helping out this weekend so we can make this another successful year for the Lenape Jam.

 Thanks

Chris

The end-of-year league tournament “The Grapevine” will be held on March 2nd at Moorestown HS.  It will involve all 16 teams in the Southern region of the Grapevine League.  Kids get put into 4 man brackets, wrestle 2 matches and all wrestlers get a medal.  All fees for this tournament are paid for by LJW.

I will have more info as we get closer to the date.  With only 16 teams compared to the 32 of past years it should be a much better day of wrestling for the entire team than we have encountered the last few years.

Any questions please feel  free to contact me.

Hello All LJW Parents,

Just wanted to clarify that part of your registration fee at the beginning of the season covers the cost of the Lenape Jam for your wrestler(s).  We have received a few checks already and they will be returned this week at practice.  All we need to know is if your child will be attending the Jam or not.  We have all the registration info on hand and will make sure everything is taken care of from there.  Your wrestler will get a t-shirt and will be guaranteed at least 3 matches.
Being that this is THE fund raising event for the team, what we are going to need from all the parents is a few hours of your time on that Sunday to help make this tournament a success.  We have the Lenape HS team also helping out so it should be great day for our kids.  We will have more info on where and when we need help in the coming weeks.

Regards

The HS is closed on Monday the 21st so practice will be held on Tuesday the 22nd at the normal 6:30 time.

Another great showing by the wrestlers today!

A note of thanks to all the parents who helped out today.

A special “thank you” to Linda Yaffa for organizing the concessions for the match.  It was our most successful day ever!

Patty Buck, Ashley Buck, Alycia Bischof and Sue Scioli also had a large hand in making it so successful.  If we missed anybody we apologize.

Between all the hard work and the generous donations made this week we came very close to paying the refs fee’s of $650!  We never got that close before.

Thanks again for supporting our team and making it so successful!

Regards
